Kevin Stockard is a commodity broker based out of Kansas City, Mo. He joined CHS Hedging in 2012 and trades primarily grains and dairy products, working with commercial and producer accounts to help them manage their market risk. Stockard started his career while still in college, learning about commodities and futures markets on the trading floor of the Kansas City Board of Trade (KCBT) while working as a pit reporter. He then worked for NewEdge, the brokerage arm of Societe Generale, as a trading assistant, before moving on to trade his own account full time, leasing a membership at the KCBT. Stockard graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City with a bachelor’s degree in finance.
