This course will explore the technical analysis approach to studying a market’s price action and metrics and discerning what they are telling us, and then using that information in your decision-making process for risk management. Advanced Options & Structured Products will examine advanced options concepts and trading strategies as well as structured products (Compass contracts) and their uses. The course begins with a review of options risk measurements (the Greeks) before focusing on put/call parity and implied volatility. Once options concepts are understood, we can more comfortably move on to strategies like volatility trading, delta hedging, and gamma trading. The course finishes with an overview of structured products and their uses. Special emphasis will be placed on the options that make up these contracts and how they differ from their exchange-traded relatives.
